Hybrid Work and Neurodiversity

In the past, traditional workplaces used to reject any request for remote work. The global pandemic has changed this status in a very short time. More and more, employers agree and even demand their employees to work from home. Studies are demonstrating positive results from this change, particularly for neurodivergent employees. For a long time, neurodiversity was considered as a disablement. From a scientific perspective, however, disablement is contributed by a mismatch between the individuals’ requirements and their surrounding environment. When you let these employees work remotely, you can conjure the best of them. In this way, their hidden talents will be activated, they can perform better as they don’t face any distraction, and they become happier and more comfortable which leads to even better function of them.
